Update, December 2004. I havent updated the site for some time now, as I havent been able to do so. In the beginning of 2003 I moved to London where I now live and work. I work for a good company and am currently Team Leader for one of the Sales Departments.


As you already know my name is Jonas Sörensson. I am 24 years old and from Kolding in Denmark. I lived there from I was 10 years old (1988) until the beginning of 2001. However, as you can ready elsewhere on this site I have travelled and worked abroad for shorter periods within these years.

During these years I did a lot of things beside going to school. Sports have always been a major part of my life and I have played several different sports such as badminton, tennis, football, golf and many more. There is no doubt however, that football and golf always have been the two major interests for me.

I currently live in Dublin, Ireland where I work for IBM. I have only started recently but enjoy it very much so far. I work as a Sales Specialist for RS/6000 servers, Storage and printers. I work in the Nordic Team, and my main focus is on the Danish and Swedish markets.

In June 2000 I finished a programme where I have studied for Academy Economist at The International Business Academy in Kolding, Denmark, which is a part of The Open University in London. The course is an International recognised programme with an additional year you can have a bachelor degree. I have started studying for a bachelor degree with the help of distance learning so it this way is possible for me to have a job at the same time. This way it takes somewhat longer time but I think it is very important to combine theory and work as much as possible. That is also why I served to placements during the two years I studied at The International Business Academy.

The first year I went to Tampa Bay in Florida where I worked at The Winn Technology Group, which is a telemarketing company. I mainly worked with project management but also touched base with the IT-department where I helped setup and maintain the company's network. I was also involved in developing and designing a new screen for a client, which also was a telemarketing company. 

In the beginning of 2000 I spent four months working at British Gas Trading in London. I worked in the Marketing Department, mostly with Campaign Planning. I worked on several projects where I collected information and statistics to be able to make a report and come up with suggestions for the company's strategies. I also worked together with various agencies on projects which needed that e.g. a project involving the Internet. The agency helped setting up a dedicated web-site to track the number of a specific customer group who used the Internet. Another project, on which I worked, was about the communcation channels from the Sales and Marketing Department through the Area Offices and to the Fields Sales Representatives.
